Olga Shayunova was born in Leningrad in 1963, she graduated from the Leningrad State Pedagogical University named after A.Hertsena the Faculty of Arts. Olga Shayunova is a member of the St.-Petersburg Union of artists and the St.-Petersburg Society of Aquarellists. She took part in more than 60 city, republican and international exhibitions of the fine arts. Among them:

"Mexico - Russia, water color " (2001, Central Exhibition Hall "Arena");

The Second Biennial of Graphics in St.-Petersburg" BIN 2004 " (Central Exhibition Hall "Arena");
The Third Biennial of Water Color "Artmost-Akwarel-2005" (the Diploma of the winner).

The artist’s works are in the museum of Peterhof, in the International museum of ex-librises (St.-Nicolas, Belgium), Museum of the Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.Hertsen, expositions of the House of scientists named after M.Gorkiy, the Russian Academy of Science, Gallery of Graphics (Adogi, Spain), Museum "the World of Water of St.-Petersburg ", Art Gallery of Petrozavodsk, the Kurgan Regional Art Museum, and also in private collections of Russia, Sweden, England and the USA.

Olga teaches drawing and water colour painting at the faculty of fine arts of the Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.Hertsen. She received the master's degree. The artist wrote several scientific articles like «Water Color and its Pedagogical Modus», «Society of Aquarellists in the Cultural Life of Petersburg».
