Svetlana Krotova I live in Nizhni Novgorod. After having graduated from the Russian State University of Physics in Nizhni Novgorod I did some research as a radiophysicist and then worked in a newspaper as a painter. I used to go in for artistic photography, took part in Russian and international exhibitions. I took up painting all of a sudden and it happened 10 years ago, in 1996. Since then there were exhibitions in Nizhni Novgorod, Kstovo and Dzerzhinsk. Recently there was an exhibition of my graphic works in Auckland, New Zealand. I also took part in the exhibition of caricature in Italy. I mainly paint in pastel and water-colours, I like working with graphic very much and some of my works are made using Indian ink and pen. I have made illustrations for the book by Leo Tolstoy “Short Stories and Fairy Tales for Children”. Now I work as a web-designer and keep on painting.
