Victor Chevardov was born in 1949 in Volgograd Region. After having graduated from the University of Arts named after Krupskaya he began working as a professional artist and had several personal exhibitions.

 

For many years he has been studying traditions of the Russian school of realistic landscape painting, but he tries to find his own plastic and colour intonations. During his trips to different parts of Russia he spends a lot of time making sketches from nature. In his works he tries to reveal the poetry of Russian landscape, simple but very touching rural motives, severe views of the North, hot steppes and of course majesty of the Caucasus, where he made his first steps in art.
